Satchel Paige Born

Born July 7, 1906, Leroy Robert "Satchel" Paige was a legend of the Negro Leagues before becoming the oldest rookie in Major League Baseball at age 42 in 1948. His showmanship and incredible talent made him one of the most famous athletes of his era.
