Rosa Parks Born

Rosa Louise McCauley Parks was born on February 4, 1913, in Tuskegee, Alabama. She would become known as the "Mother of the Civil Rights Movement" after her refusal to give up her bus seat in Montgomery, Alabama, in December 1955, sparking the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
