Henry Louis Aaron was born on February 5, 1934, in Mobile, Alabama. He became one of baseball's greatest players, breaking Babe Ruth's career home run record with 755 home runs, while enduring racist threats and hate mail throughout his pursuit of the record.

Viola Davis Achieves EGOT Status

On February 5, 2023, Viola Davis won the Grammy for Best Audiobook for her memoir "Finding Me," completing her EGOT. She had previously won an Oscar for "Fences" (2017), two Tony Awards, and an Emmy for "How to Get Away with Murder." She is one of only a few Black women to achieve the EGOT.
