Ruby Dee Born

Born October 27, 1922, Ruby Dee had a career spanning over seven decades on stage, screen, and television. She and her husband Ossie Davis were active in the civil rights movement, emceeing the March on Washington and working closely with Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X.
