Oscar Charleston Born

Born October 14, 1896, Oscar Charleston was a dominant player in the Negro Leagues, often compared to a combination of Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth. Bill James ranked him as the 4th greatest player in baseball history. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1976.
