Diane Nash Born

Born May 15, 1938, Diane Nash was a key leader of the Nashville sit-in movement and helped organize the continuation of the Freedom Rides when CORE considered stopping. She co-founded the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee and was instrumental in planning the Selma to Montgomery marches.
