Pearl Bailey Born

Born March 29, 1918, Pearl Bailey became one of the most beloved entertainers of her era. She won a special Tony Award for her starring role in an all-Black production of "Hello, Dolly!" in 1968 and served as a U.S. delegate to the United Nations.
