Reba McEntire and First Black Rodeo Cowboys

Born December 5, 1870, Bill Pickett invented the rodeo technique of bulldogging (steer wrestling). He was the first Black honoree in the Rodeo Hall of Fame. His career helped preserve the legacy of Black cowboys, who made up an estimated 25% of cowboys in the Old West.
