Willie Mays Born

Born May 6, 1931, Willie Mays played 22 seasons in Major League Baseball, primarily for the New York/San Francisco Giants. Known as the "Say Hey Kid," he hit 660 home runs and made one of baseball's most famous catches in the 1954 World Series.
