Wyatt Tee Walker Born

Born August 16, 1928, Wyatt Tee Walker served as executive director of the SCLC and was the chief strategist behind Project C, the Birmingham Campaign that used nonviolent direct action to challenge segregation. His planning was critical to the movement's success.
