NAACP Founded Date

On February 12, 1909, the NAACP was established in response to the 1908 Springfield race riot. Founders included W.E.B. Du Bois, Ida B. Wells, Mary White Ovington, and Henry Moskowitz. It became the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization.
