Cornel West Born

Born June 2, 1953, Cornel West is one of America's most prominent public intellectuals. His book "Race Matters" (1993) became a bestseller. He has taught at Harvard, Princeton, and Yale, and is known for his passionate advocacy for racial justice and democratic socialism.
