Tamir Rice Killed

On November 22, 2014, Tamir Rice was shot within two seconds of a police officer arriving at a Cleveland park where Rice was playing with a toy pellet gun. The officer was not indicted, and Rice's death became a rallying point for the Black Lives Matter movement and calls for police reform.

Guion Bluford Born

Born November 22, 1942, Guion "Guy" Bluford earned a PhD in aerospace engineering and flew combat missions in Vietnam before being selected as an astronaut. He flew four space shuttle missions between 1983 and 1992.
