Robert F. Kennedy Assassinated

On June 5, 1968, Robert F. Kennedy was shot at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles after winning the California Democratic presidential primary. His death was a blow to the civil rights movement, as he had become one of the strongest white political allies of Black Americans.
